Impulse Cut

My hair had grown halfway down my back and was completely unresponsive to my various attempts to tame it.  I made an appointment for a haircut last Saturday, intending to take off a couple of inches and lighten the load so I could have my curls back in place of my frizz strands.

When my beloved stylist asked me what I wanted to do, I told him I wanted to take some heft out but other than that I didn't really care.  He said my hair might be long enough for Locks of Love and asked if I'd be interested.  Since I didn't want to be the asshole who says no when asked if I'd like to help disadvantaged children who have lost their hair, I said sure.  Vanity is a pretty shity reason to say no to things.  He measured off the requisite 10 inches, tied a pony tail, asked me if I was really, really, really sure, and snipped.

I have no regrets.  I actually think it came out pretty cute.

And what I learned is that I may not be vain enough to say no when someone asks if they can cut off 10 inches of my hair, but I am vain enough to take 1001 versions of the above photo before I take a single one I deem acceptable for posting.  A "before" hair shot that I apparently also found acceptable can be found here.
