Other Dallas Highlights Include:

The Mexican brownie at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas is so delicious that I often find myself thinking about it on any given random evening.

They bring a sizzling hot platter to your table, pour down a brandy butter sauce which immediately starts to bubble and sizzle.  The aroma of butter and vanilla hits you and your mouth starts to water.

The other patrons turn to watch.

Then they plop an enormous, rich, chocolate-y pecan-filled brownie in the middle and top it with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The hot brandy butter sauce seeps into the brownie and the ice cream begins to melt, dripping down the brownie and mixing with that sauce, inducing a near comatose state when ingested that is pure bliss.

It's as rich as it sounds and even with one brownie ordered for our table of 5, we still didn't finish it.

It's not just a dessert, it's an experience.

Also: beer and wine as far as the eye can see. In the grocery store, where it belongs. Suck it, Pennsylvania.
