Important Conversations to Have Before You Get Married: Breakfast Edition

me (ever supportive):  The toast has been especially crispy lately. 

Joe:  I thought you liked it extra crispy.

me:  No, I like bacon extra crispy.  I like my toast just barely toasted.  I thought you were doing it extra crispy because that's how you like it.

Joe:  No, I like it barely toasted too.

me:  So if I hadn't said something, we could have gone our whole lives eating burnt toast because we each thought the other one liked it that way.

Joe:  This is exactly why communication is so important.
