What He Meant Was "Food," "Photography," and "YOUR DRESS"

I've had weddings on the brain lately.  Knowing that when the time comes, it will have to be done on a budget, I decided to ask Joe what his three priorities would be for the big day.  The three places where the bulk of the budget should go, with sacrifices being made everywhere else.  Once we got past this exchange...

"I don't know, where does the money usually go?"

"Food, flowers, cake..."

"Oh, we don't need flowers."

"What will I carry down the aisle?"

"You can have one flower.  Maybe two."

his answers were:

"the reception venue,"

"booze,"

"and, um...hmmm..."

"the honeymoon?"

Oh, Joe, silly, I can't wear any of those things.  Nor can any of those things take permanent record of the beautiful things I am wearing.  You're adorable.

So, before I leave my comment, I have to tell you that I've been stalking your blog for a couple of weeks now. I know, that's so creepy, and I'm sorry! I'm friends with Sheridan, and came across your blog because I was reading hers, and now I'm hooked, because you're hilarious. Ok, so my comment about weddings. I just got married a few months ago, and can definitely give you my two cents about how to have an awesome wedding on a budget. We spend 12K, in San Diego, the only thing not included in that being our honeymoon. So! If you want to talk about how to keep it cheap, and yet awesome, I might be able to help. And, I know an AMAZING photographer, who travels, is awesome, and is cheap(ish). Anyway, love the blog :-)

I will take up the offer to discuss weddings with anyone! There's the small matter of actually being engaged to attend to, but, you know, details. I'm so glad you love the blog!
